More than a smile....

I had three years of braces, my jaw widened and brought forward and a surgery to move some of my teeth out of the way. I was in 6th grade when I got my braces off and it was a big deal, and I was so thankful to have straight teeth and able to flash a smile with no more metal!

A smile isn't all about the teeth though.
Did you know that  "Every three minutes a child is born with a cleft — often unable to eat, speak, socialize or smile. In some places these children are shunned and rejected. And in too many cases, their parents can't afford to give them the surgeries they need to live a normal life."

Operation Smile is an international children's medical charity that, since 1982 has provided over 200,000 free surgeries to children and adults born with a cleft lip, palate or other facial deformities. This organization is literally making children smile all over the globe.

Sometimes I think we forget, that something that sounds or even looks as simple as that can have a profound impact on someone's life.

I love when a big company teams up with a medical charity and puts their money and resources into a great cause. CampusBookRentals has teamed up with Operation Smile and for every book rented from their site, a portion will go toward their commitment of covering  1,000 surgeries!

This whole idea of renting college books is amazing, why spend a ton of money on a book that you only are using for a few months? Here, you rent, return and in doing so you are helping to support an incredible cause that is worldwide. There are numerous other textbook rental sites out there, but this is the only one teamed up with Operation Smile.

A few facts about CampusBookRentals :
 Free shipping both ways,
Largest selection in the nation and
 live customer support.

So, pass the word to anyone needing college text books and about Operation Smile and the work they are doing together.
