10 years

I was in high school, getting ready to meet my volleyball teamates for our weekly Bible Study before school at a local coffee shop.

I remember standing in front of the TV in shock, and fear that something would happen to us.

I called Trevor, to see if he had heard, and to make sure he was okay.

It is pretty amazing to me, that we had a previously scheduled Bible study that morning. We were able to talk and pray with one another.

Because I was blessed to attend a Christian High School, later that afternoon our entire school gathered for an assembly. We prayed together. It was an incredible moment.

I will never forget that morning, and I can't believe it has been 10 years.

Forever grateful for our heroes in this country.

"Terrorist attacks can shake the foundations of our biggest buildings,
but they cannot touch the foundation of America.

These acts shatter steel,
but they cannot dent the steel of American resolve.
...

America was targeted for attack because we are the brightest beacon for freedom
and opportunity in the world.

And no one will keep that light from shining."
