21 Weeks and a little Miscellany

1) It's Monday and my sweetie took the day off! Last night we had another Worship concert and it was incredible. The team God has put together on Saturday nights is just amazing and last night was a total blast. They all put in a ton of work! I'm so glad he took today off to recover! We've been trying to carve our pumpkins for over a week so hopefully that happens today!

2)It's been super nice and rainy in Southern Oregon and I'm loving it, although waking up at 6:30 in pitch black and rain feels more like waking up at 3:00am

3) This Saturday is Trunk or Treat! Tons of people decorate their trunks and dress up and hand out candy! It's so fun to see the different themes and see what people come up with! It's super safe since it's enclosed in the parking lot at the church and it's a great outreach event as well! My family will be doing a trunk this year and I'm pretty darn excited about it.....here is a little hint ;)
(Mom you were right...I was thinking of the new series Mystery Inc)

4) A little pregnancy questionnaire

How far along: 21 weeks today!Weight gain: -1 Still. Which is insane because my appetite is crazy! Guess those boys are taking it all!
Maternity clothes: Oh yes. Trying to find a coat or jacket I can wear because it's really cold out now!
Sleep: Unisom guarantees me sleep.
Best moment this week: Well, it's only Monday...but LAST week it was finding out we were having two BOYS and they look totally healthy!

Food craving: Skittles and Coffee (Starbucks)
Food aversions: Tomato Sauce.....it sounds good and then I either have horrid heartburn later or I puke. :(
Gender: BOYS!!!!!!!!

Movements: They move every day, mostly when I'm resting.
Symptoms: Round ligament pain if I do too much, backache and restless leg at night.

Emotions: Amazed
What I miss: Hot baths
What I'm looking forward to: Jack feeling the boys move :)
Weekly wisdom: Don't hold your 2 year old and bounce around at a concert....you will be hurting really really bad later.
Milestones: 20 Weeks is always a big marker to hit, and since I won't go past 37 weeks I am OVER half way there :)

  1. What a fabulous list for your miscellany! There is a trunk or treat day here as well. We have a quiet little neighborhood so I'll let the kids wander around for a bit --- we always end up with WAY too much candy.

As far as weight gain -- I hardly gain any weight with my pregnancies. With my last two I only gained 16 pounds and left the hospital lighter than when I got pregnant. That was a nice benefit.

I can't imagine with twins -- it would probably be impossible for me to gain weight. I'll pray for you.

Have the most blessed awesome Monday!

What’s more lame than having one type of cancer? Having two.

I had two colon polyps that popped positive for cancer. The thing is, they were in such different places they are considered two different cancers. Colon stage 3a and Rectal stage 3b . What’s more sexy than that?  My 5 weeks of radiation and oral chemo was to kill off any remaining cancer cells in the rectal area because even though my surgeon (while tactless) actually did an amazing job by literally remaking that whole area internally and avoiding any sort of colostomy bag- you can’t guarantee you got it all. So standard practice is always pelvic radiation for that area.  The chemotherapy infusions are to make sure every last naughty cell in my body is gone. Because I had it in one of the lymph nodes they removed, it showed this cancer was able to travel which is how cancer spreads to your other body parts. If it wasn’t in the lymph nodes yet chemo wouldn’t have been necessary. So glad we caught this when we did and that I actually had symptoms to warrant a colonoscopy. Often times th

BeautiControl Giveaway!

Have you heard of BeautiControl? This is an incredible line of skin care products that truly work ! It's skin care, bath and body, makeup and men's care! When I was pregnant a friend of mine who sells this came over and pampered me and a few friends, and then I started using the face system just before the babies were born. It did wonders. Then I ran out, and I put it off and my skin got bad again. And then about 2 weeks ago I started using it again. Wow. A visible difference in just two weeks. It looks better and feels better! Face Lift Line I am super picky about my skincare items, and I don't buy just anything.  Plus, I still struggle with breakouts. This stuff not only smells amazing, and makes my skin feel incredibly soft, but it does it's job. They have a huge line that you will have to check out, just go over to their website and browse around! You can see if there is a consultant in your area and host a spa party!!! Today I am giving away a Chocolate Indulgence
